How to deal with an annoying mother?
Ok, here is my situation...I am a single mother of a 5 yr. old girl. She has Autism. I am an officer at a prison, graveyard shift, and am under extreme amounts of stress. When not at work, I am constantly busy attending to my child and taking her to therapy. I currently live with my father. My mother just moved back into our home, and it is not pretty. My mother is on my back 24/7 about everything. I cannot get any privacy because of her, and she expects me to entertain her. She tags along with me wherever I go and gets mad if I tell her no. She expects me to go with her as well and if I don't, well you got it, she gets mad. She expects me to spend my days off with her instead of with my child or my friends. My mother has no friends and is retired. I've suggested she go out and do things but she refuses. When I do suggest things for us to do, she refuses it! She nit picks at my child, and nags at me for bringing her home with a spot on her shirt or if it's after dark. I feel as though she is trying to run our lives. We argue and scream at each other on a daily basis, and I'm on the brink of insanity! Financially, I cannot move out at this time. Nor can she. I've tried talking to her, but she ignores me. I've ignored her, but it only lasts temporarily. I have no idea how to deal with her anymore????????
