USPS Pink Redelivery Slip, Question about name?

A pink slip was left in my PO Box, the letter is for my business and it has my business name and my friend's name. I don't have time to go to PO Box to pick up the express mail letter, and on line two it says sign here to authorize an agent to sign for you. Since the agent is the signer on the PO Box and also an employee, I put the agent's name on the box. However, do I still have to give the agent my actual id card? Thanks for any help.
